Nick Lawler is the founder and owner of Whole Hog Events.
Having spent his professional career as an economist and senior manager in the public sector, he gave up work aged 34 and started his first business.
Six years on, Whole Hog Events is one of four businesses in the group.
Although he claims to never ‘really work’, he is known by to be a hard task-master, a complete perfectionist and a total workaholic. He has never ever run an event where he hasn’t personally spent a lot of time having fun.
Actually, when you think about it, this isn’t a bad skill-set and personality disorder if you want Whole Hog to mastermind a really mind-blowing event.
Nick’s mission is to create the best hospitality and events business in the North of England.
He is the luckiest man in the world to have a fantastic wife and partner, three happy and healthy children and live and work in the English Lake District.
It is a source of particular pride that all three of his children were born a long way north of the Watford Gap. Yes, it’s true he was born in Surrey but Cumbria is his adopted home and the birthplace of his youngest; Rosie Blue Skye Lawler.
Occasionally he still finds time to run in the hills as well as (very very rarely!) help muck out the animals on the family small-holding.
